Pep Guardiola and Thomas Frank both addressed the heated incident involving Kyle Walker and Neal Maupay during the match between Brentford and Manchester City.
Despite initially trailing, Manchester City secured a 3-1 victory over Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Monday, with Phil Foden scoring a memorable hat-trick. Foden also unveiled a new celebration and explained its significance after the game.
However, the match was overshadowed by a confrontation between Walker and Maupay towards the end of the fixture.
Walker appeared to take exception to something said by Maupay during the match, leading him to approach referee Jarred Gillett to express his discontent with the situation. Gillett then engaged in a conversation with Maupay, who seemed bewildered by the exchange with the England international.
At present, the exact nature of the exchange between Walker and Maupay remains unclear, with Guardiola intervening to calm his player during the incident.

When questioned about the altercation after the match, Guardiola dismissed it, stating, “Nothing happened. Next question.” Frank also declined to comment, saying, “No, I haven’t asked him [Maupay].”
Maupay was substituted during stoppage time and was seen engaged in a lengthy conversation with Guardiola after the final whistle.
Walker’s reaction comes in the wake of his recent revelation about his personal life, admitting to fathering a child during his marriage to Annie Kilner.
Despite the off-field incident, Manchester City’s victory propelled them to second place in the league standings, with 49 points, just two points behind leaders Liverpool. Brentford, on the other hand, maintains its 15th position in the league table.
