Oliver Glasner will be Crystal Palace’s next coach, and he is allegedly more keen to sell central defender Marc Guehi than to part ways with Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze as he gets ready for his first full season at Selhurst Park.
After being chosen by chairman Steve Parish to succeed Roy Hodgson, Glasner assumed leadership in February and inked a two-and-a-half-year contract. He’s thinking now about how he can reorganize the team he inherited.
There is fear that important players may be lured away by other Premier League teams despite some outstanding early successes under Glasner, such as a 4-0 victory over Manchester United. Although Palace would prefer not to lose Guehi, Olise, or Eze, they are willing to sell one of them in order to help support Glasner’s transfer budget.
Despite the fact that Guehi, Olise, and Eze have been essential to Palace’s Premier League standing since moving to Selhurst Park, other teams have expressed interest in these players due to their steady play. Guehi, who recently returned from injury with a 12-minute cameo against Manchester United, would be easier to sell for Palace than Olise and Eze.
